Hue to Phong Nha Group Tour

Info

Phong Nha Cave was constructed hundreds of millions of years ago by tectonic activity in the center of the Ke Bang limestone mountains. The length of Phong Nha Cave is almost 7,730 meters.  Its complex construction includes 14 grottoes, numerous connecting branches, and the world’s largest underground river. The cave is divided into two sections: the dry caves, which are 200 meters above sea level, and the wet caves, which include an underground river. There are numerous stalactites and stalagmites of various intriguing shapes inside both dry and wet caves. The cave is ideal for hiding, so it’s no wonder that residents used Phong Nha Cave as a shelter, storage facility, and hospital during the Vietnamese War.

Itinerary

6:30 am: Our guide and car will pick you up from your hotel in Hue city. The tour will then begin when you depart for Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh Province.

You will stop along the road to visit the La Vang Holy Land, a national Christian shrine in Hai Lang district, Quang Tri Province. In 1978, Catholics in Vietnam believe Mary appeared in this area, and a church was built near the three banyan trees. La Vang Holy Land is a popular religious pilgrimage destination.

You will also have the opportunity to take photo at Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River. It is the physical border between North and South Vietnam at the 17th Parallel, as established by the Geneva Accords of 1954.

12:00 pm: Arrival in Phong Nha. Lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a short break.

01:00 pm: To explore Phong Nha cave, get on a boat and ride down the Son River. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the magnificent scenery on both sides of the river. You will see both river banks with various typical Vietnamese houses, Catholic churches, and the gorgeous hills and mountains around the town.

You will arrive at Phong Nha cave after 25 minutes on the boat. Prepare to be captivated by the cave’s charms for several hours.

Explore several amazing rock formations in Phong Nha Cave, including the Lion, Fairy Caves, Royal Court, and Buddha. The beautiful and majestic caves will enchant you. The more light that is shone on the stalactites and stalagmites inside the Phong Nha Caves, the more unreal they appear.

Return to the boat station by walking through the dry caves.

3:30 pm: Drive back to Hue city while admiring the stunning scenery of Central Vietnam.

7:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Arrive in Hue and drop you off at a hotel in the city center. End of Hue to Phong Nha Group Tour and say goodbye. We hope you had a great time with us!
